Welcome to Studio Fitness Diva, for active adults over fifty who want to feel good, stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle.
Hi, I’m Karen, and I started my fitness journey about 10 years ago after struggling with weight issues and fad diets. As a women who knows the frustration of trying to stay self-motivated to work out, and eat healthy, it was a struggle that slowly began to have an affect on my mental well-being.
I became fed up, and decided to open my own fitness studio. An outlet that afforded ladies like me, more fitness options and alternatives. This became my vision for Studio Fitness Diva. A boutique style fitness studio that offered fun and sassy results driven classes designed with the ladies in mind. Gyms had become increasingly frustrating for me back then… they had become a crowed, smelly meat market of aggressive men, and intimidating looking women. In addition to (not knowing) what to do once I got there. I subjected myself to boring repetitious workouts that I’d picked up by watching others. I can remember after watching the Oprah show one day, I became introduced to pole fitness. My enthusiasm for pole fitness took off like a rocket. I thought, finally a workout that was fun, sexy and physical. Since I had a dance background from growing up, this was a perfect fit for me. I thrived at pole fitness and discovered that aerobic dance fitness and strength workouts was the way to go. I began teaching pole dance fitness as my very first fitness class at my new studio. Shortly thereafter, I became a certified fitness instructor in a variety of group fitness genres and a personal fitness trainer.

“I became certified Beachbody Hip Hop Hustle, and Turbo Kick. I eventually added Zumba fitness, Pilates, MiXXed Fit and Les Mills Body Pump program weight lifting.”
I closed up shop in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017, where I am currently teaching at LA Fitness in Decatur. I have now added senior fitness to my background. As an aging female myself, I became certified in Silver Sneakers Classic, Circuit, Boom and Balance; Aqua and chair yoga senior fitness programs. I really enjoy teaching Silver Sneakers, and absolutely love working with aging adults. I teach a number of off-site classes at various senior centers, churches and senior assisted living facilities. I also teach virtual classes on the Zoom platform Monday through Friday mornings. My specialty is Personal Training, Weight Lifting, Pole Fitness and Cardio Dance aerobics workouts. My wide variety of fitness formats and senior fitness Silver Sneakers programs are all essential to building and developing core strength, flexibility, and body contouring, and increased muscle tone for a more improved cardiovascular system.
Since Covid-19 hit in March of 2020, I now teach all virtual live streaming from my home studio via Zoom. Fitness is my passion, it is literally the fountain of youth. Just call me the modern day Pounce de leon. I Love It!
